About Republic Polytechnic Wind Symphony (RPWS)
The Republic Polytechnic Wind Symphony (RPWS) began its humble musical path on 1st August 2003 as part of the school’s Centre for Culture and Communication’s multi-faceted cultural activities by their own RP students.
Alumni
To embark on an extraordinary musical path, The RPWS Alumni was formed in Year 2006 soon after the pioneer batch graduated from Republic Polytechnic. Since then, the alumni has been performing together with the main band in several major school events and concerts. Such performances including Viva La Symphonie II, Open House, Lunch Time Performance, SLA Fiesta and most recently, Singapore International Band Festival 2008. Then along with the alumni’s support, the current RPWS raises to higher standards in bringing more exciting new repertoire to the audiences.
