Reflections 2009 – SYMPHONIE DE REPUBLIQUE III

Saturday, September 19th, 2009

In line with the Festival’s theme, RP Wind Symphony (First runner-up in 1st Division of the Singapore International Band Festival 2008) presents an infusion of music from different countries, cultures and period. Conducted by Resident Conductor, CPT Muhamad Yusri, the concert repertoire is inspired by the beauty in paintings, poetry, history, film and music together – interpreting the various art forms in the form of band music. Be awed by the two soloists in Autumn Soliloquy (Oboe) and Variants on an English Hymn Tune (Euphonium), and the two young student conductors as they debut in this concert, showcasing their musicality.
